Users

Casual-core players (roughly 18-45) who enjoy fantasy sports, card-like strategy games, and social competition. They use the app to build and manage a team, join leagues, track performance, and make tactical decisions under budget and timing constraints.

Product Purpose

FantasyWiki turns Wikipedia article trends into a competitive fantasy game. Players buy and manage article contracts, optimize team performance with strategy, and compete in private or public leagues. Success means players can quickly understand league state, take meaningful actions, and feel ongoing competitive progression.

Brand Personality

Knowledge-driven, strategic, game-like. The tone should feel energetic and competitive without becoming noisy, and should reinforce that thoughtful decisions can outperform brute popularity.

Anti-references

Avoid interfaces that feel boring, static, or generic "for sale" marketing templates. Avoid sterile corporate dashboards that remove the sense of play, and avoid visual patterns that make the experience feel like a commodity landing page instead of a game.

Design Principles

  1. Make strategy legible: key signals, rankings, and tradeoffs should be scannable at a glance.
  2. Keep actions decisive: core game actions should be direct, fast, and confidence-building.
  3. Sustain competitive tension: the UI should consistently reinforce progress, urgency, and league context.
  4. Balance play and clarity: game energy should never obscure comprehension or control.
  5. Reward informed decisions: interaction patterns should highlight why outcomes happen, not just what happened.

Accessibility & Inclusion

No explicit accessibility target has been set yet. Default to inclusive interaction patterns and progressively align the interface to WCAG AA expectations as the design system matures.
